I've been a lifelong animal lover and my intention as a child was to one day be able to work with them. I didn't have the confidence to be a veterinarian, so I gradually made my way to the healing professions, starting as a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner and moving on to acupuncture and essential oils. I found that the longer I worked with people and their energy, the more intuitive I became. I began an intense spiritual journey and started meditating. Life changing events were thrown in my path to alter my way of being and challenge my perspectives on everything. I embarked on a love-based way of life instead of a fear-based one. And somewhere along the way my patients started to ask me if I could figure out what was going on with their animals. An acquaintance at a Meet-Up mentioned an animal communication practice group online, which I immediately took advantage of. I practiced relentlessly for a year and read books about animal communication, honing my technique. I asked friends to let me talk to their animals, I talked to my owns pets (talking to your own can be the most challenging!) and at some point it became easy and flowing. I decided to give up my acupuncture practice and communicate with animals full-time. It feels like the most fulfilling career possible because in tuning in and listening to animals, there is a sense of getting their message to not only their people, but also the world. In time I hope that humans and animals will live in unity with mutual respect and love and compassion. There will be no one questioning whether animals have consciousness or are capable of emotion. I don't know if this is likely to happen in my lifetime, but if I can help pave the way by doing this work, I would feel honored.
